DEVORAH VIICTOR
NEW YORK HANDBAG DESIGNER
For seven years Devorah Viictor ran her own design firm, designing and manufacturing luxury handbag collections for luxury houses and retailers under their names.
A collection she designed for Bloomingdale’s sold out nationwide. She kept the relationships that mattered — the Italian leather houses whose hides shape every piece.
She debuted her own first collection at Milan Fashion Week.
Every silhouette is drawn from a single belief,
A woman’s softness is her greatest strength.
Draped and crafted in the finest Italian leather, each is designed to move with her body, with an elegance that is entirely timeless.
ITALY'S FINEST LEATHER, TANNED WITH ITALIAN MAESTRIA
THE LEATHER
ITALY’S FINEST LEATHER, TANNED WITH ITALIAN MAESTRIA.
Lambskin, with a fine grain and a soft, light hand, tanned slowly for the draped silhouettes. Calfskin, denser and even in the grain, where a shape holds its structure.
Each hide is selected one at a time, for grain, weight, and fall. Interiors are lined in calf suede or lamb leather. Hardware in light gold.
THE DRAPE
SOFT DRAPED SILHOUETTES
Every piece begins as a colour. Devorah develops the season’s palette first and the silhouettes follow, which is the reverse of how most collections are built.
The forms are soft and draped where the category defaults to structured and hard. That is a deliberate difficulty. Draped leather shows every error in a pattern, so the patterns take longer and the hides have to be better.
